Dress Code and Personal Appearance
Personal Appearance Guidelines (Dress, Grooming & Hygiene)
As employees of ACS Technologies, we each represent the Company to our clients, prospects, partners, visitors and other employees. Business-casual dress is the general standard for our workplace. Our company allows comfortable dress in the work environment as long as it is appropriate, professional, and within the guidance described below:
Examples of appropriate attire
Khaki’s that are neat in appearance
Women’s dresses as long they are modest in design
Men’s dress shirts or women’s dress blouses
Men’s or women’s dress sweaters
Jeans and dress shorts (no more than two inches above knee) are acceptable provided they are neat and clean
Golf or polo shirts with a collar
Women’s dress shoes as long as they have either a heel strap or heel
Examples of attire to avoid at work
Any clothing that has words, terms, or pictures that may be offensive to other employees Clothing that is overly revealing and or distracting to others
Any clothing that is torn, wrinkled, dirty, or frayed
Overly casual clothing such as flip-flops, T-shirts, hats, or sweatpants
Generally, employees should come to work neat, presentable, and with good hygiene. All jewelry, makeup, hair styles, perfume, and cologne should be in good taste and not excessive. Tattoos and body piercing should be limited in visibility.
When you are traveling outside the office on company business the standard is business casual attire, unless the occasion calls for more formal dress. In any case, employees traveling have a responsibility to know what is appropriate and required and to plan accordingly.
If you have questions about these personal appearance guidelines, please ask your manager.
