Conflicts of interest and other outside employment

As an employee of ACS Technologies, you should consider your employment here as primary should you also have other outside work or interests. Any outside employment should not cause a conflict of interest in any way with your employment with ACS Technologies. Likewise, your actions regarding your employment with the company should not create, or potentially create, a conflict of interest. Should you become aware of any potential conflicts of interest you are to report them to your department Director immediately so that a proper resolution can be made.

Examples of conflicts of interest would include, but are not limited to:

a. participating in or having a business that competes with ACST

b. profiting directly from a company vendor or supplier that does business with ACST

c. using your position to provide favored treatment for yourself or others with whom you have a personal relationship

d. using your position at the company to influence business decisions for personal gain

e. receiving gifts that influence company decisions. (Acceptable gifts are typically customary, non-cash or equivalent, that don’t influence company decisions, and are of nominal value; i.e. less than $50). Customary work related business meals at not considered gifts.

Any and all other incidents not otherwise specified of potential conflicts of interest should be brought to your department Director’s attention so that the matter can be appropriately reviewed and proper resolution made. Determinations regarding conflicts of interest are at the sole discretion of the company.
