Pay Status
In addition to the work schedule classifications, all employees are classified into pay status as exempt or non-exempt according to the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) .
Non-Exempt Employee
If you are classified as a non-exempt employee, you are paid at a rate of time and one-half for all hours worked over 40 in a pay week.
Exempt Employee
If you are classified as an exempt employee, you are exempt from overtime pay rules. An exempt employee is considered a salary-paid employee and may be required to work more than 40 hours in a pay week.
Work Schedules and Work Week
At ACST, our work week runs Monday through Sunday. Your particular scheduled hours of work, lunch schedules, and breaks are assigned by your manager.
