DBISam Engine Error #8961 Logging In

When trying to log into HeadMaster, either of these error displays: "HeadMaster has encountered problems, engine error in module HMClient.exe @ address 001F4FE6." and/or "DBISam engine error 8961 header information corrupt in userlog."

  1. Navigate to the data directory (C:/Hmaster/Data, with C representing your drive) and locate the System file.
  2. Open the system file, then delete userlog.acsdat and userlog.idx.
    After deleting those files, you should be able to log in.
