Closed Circuit Security Camera System (CCSCS) Use Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to implement a video surveillance system to monitor the traffic at all main entryways, and other sensitive areas. The CCSCS system is designed to help protect our facilities and equipment, to reduce threats to our employees, and to provide evidence in the event that an illicit act occurs on ACS Technologies Group, Inc. ("ACST") grounds.

Scope and Applicability

The system is comprised of a number of fixed cameras located throughout the ACST Florence and Greenville campuses.

Policy

It is our policy to use the CCSCS system in a manner that promotes the mutual trust and confidence between ACST and its employees. ACST video surveillance is not done for the purpose of observing employee behavior and it is not done in real time.

Signs are visible at entrances to let employees know that the CCSCS system is in place. New employees are informed via the employee handbook and this policy. Existing employees are informed via company-wide communication regarding the CCSCS system and this policy.

Authorized Use

The CCSCS system administrator and a limited number of authorized staff have access to the CCSCS system. Requests for access to the CCSCS system should be made to the Human Resources department.

The Information Security Auditor is responsible for:

  • periodically verifying that all cameras are working properly;

  • perform system administration to maintain the camera system;

  • coordinate with vendors for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance;

  • obtain recorded footage from cameras as requested by executive leadership or Human Resources.

Requests for video camera footage must be made through the Human Resources department.

Enforcement

Any employee found to use the CCSCS system in a way that violates this policy may be subject to corrective action, up to and including termination of employment.

Variance Process

The Human Resources department is responsible for the review, documentation, and management of any and all exceptions to this policy.
